Name change and teamspeak

Based on the recommendations for players on the server we have renamed the server to Firestorm (Sleeper/PVP/Arena)  This will hopefully help attract additional players.  I did remove the half crafting from the game for the time being.  With that  being on it bumps us down to the modded server list and limits the number of players finding us.  We can revisit that if people want to discuss that.  We now are listed on the main server list if you are looking for it.

We have purchased a 15 slot teamspeak server.  We hope to talk to you further on this and will add some additional channels for the arena and other areas.  This may move to a new server in the next 30 days to see if we can move it from a hosted solution.  At the moment you can join the teamspeak server by clicking on the join button to the right and following the prompts.  If you have any questions leave a comment here.

 Please feel free to let viper or spacedust know if you need anything or have feedback or suggestions.  The two changes listed above was based on your guys feedback on what you wanted to see change.  Also spread the word and tell your friends about this server.

Populating the server

We are really trying hard to populate the server and we would like to thank the players who have been loyal to the firestorm server. We hope we are making your experience on the server fun. Some of you have been there since the beginning and have an idea how myself and viper operate. We are always open to suggestions. Most of you have seen me walking around the map at some point. I always stop and chat. Let me or viper know if there is  anything we could do to make the server better.We would also like to reach out to you, our players, and ask if you could help us bring people to our server. With your help this server could be great. Everyone seems to like the battles we have but
just imagine how much fun they would be with twenty to thirty people.

Rust Hunger Games Night 2 Game 1

We ended up holding two battles of Rust Hunger Games.  Space crashed in the first one and the first 30 or so seconds was missed, but I quick started up my Fraps and got the rest of the match.  Congrats to Smileknow winning his 2nd match this week and also the 3rd match.  He was the winner in the first match we held as well.  

This will probably be the last hunger game match for a bit to change it up and also to retool it a bit.  It hasn't seemed as exciting to watch as the death matches.  If you think differently please let us know.  We have new game styles in mind and also build a multi level structure to do more of a raiding style of fight.  We will be trying that out soon.

We would like to invite everyone back tonight for the Hunger Games Arena Battle again.  With some of the bugs figured out I would like to give this another go.  If people are interested we may have a second fight just for fun.  The grand prize for the winner 2 explosive charges per person that fights.  Last night we gave away 14 explosive charges plus their pick of the loot. Good luck to all that enter the arena.

I would like to congratulate Thumblten for winning last night first Hunger Game arena battle.  We had a total of 6 fighters last night.  We are going to try doing this again tonight at 9 pm central time or 10 pm eastern time.  Please join us again on the Firestorm server.  I will hopefully be uploading a map later today to help people navigate to the arena so I don't have to teleport everyone there.  If anyone has feed back on how to improve the hunger game style of battle please leave us some comments.

Hunger Game Contest

Friday, Nov 15, 2013 at 9 PM Central Time we will be hosting another battle arena match on the Firestorm server.  The theme for the match will be based off the book and movie Hunger game.  We are going to be setting up crates in the arena with random weapons and armors in the crates.  Everyone starts at one side of the arena and has to run to the crates and gather the random weapons and armor and fight to the death until only one remains.  There will only be 1 survivor and they will get 2 explosives for each person in the battle.  Last night we gave away 28 explosive charges.
